What is it about whistling (and humming) that sets my teeth on edge?

I am a Sansei, with two teens, and a hamster. This blog is a repository for ideas and observations, expressed in cartoon form, by and large. A bit of a journal too. Feel free to follow me on INSTAGRAM @ WILTOONS, (the Twitter for people who like to go out) where I post a journal comic. Thanks for dropping by! The pic is of me and my boy Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits. (not really a fan but he wanted his pic with me) © Wilton Sugiyama and Wiltoons, 2009 to 2020. 1. It’s the tuneless or off-key humming that’s the worst. At one summer job, I sat next to a UVic student of opera. Sometimes she would hum a simple phrase or two. It was sublime.

    1. Haha grant comment! Lucky you. I get the tone deaf hummers. What gets me : It is imposing your good mood on others who want to be miserable in peace!

  2. It reminds me of my brother, he got into a dispute with someone in his yoga class for taking too much floor space. He’s a lot like Larry David, couldn’t let it go, it was pretty pretty pretty bad….

    1. Sometimes things need to be corrected haha. We all get that Larry David-ness tho not to his degree. Love that guy. The thing about anger is the evening of a score or teaching a lesson, both of which are really just formulated in our heads. It is hard to tolerate some self-indulgent people – it is selfishness and just not caring about what others think to an extent. It is a pandemic right now as we become more self-absorbed with our devices. Nice that Instagram is taking away Likes temporarily. Hope it becomes permanent.
